A privately or publicly owned company that specializes in export services for international businesses. Support services may include warehousing, shipping, billing, and insurance. Sometimes, an export trading company may help locate potential buyers for manufacturers. Groups of international businesses may create their own export trading company. Since 1982, banks have been allowed to own and manage such companies as well.
