Lehman Investment Opportunity Note (LION)

A "feline" security of the 1980s. This was a government security issued as a zero-coupon through Lehman Brothers. The principle and interest of the security was issued at a discount. The bondholders did not earn interest, but the bond gained value from the difference between the par value and issue price.
